About Master Of Nursing in Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec)

Summary

This programme provides opportunities for role development in advanced nursing practice. It involves theoretical knowledge development as well as clinical and ethical learning experiences, with an aim to build capacity to respond to increasingly diverse populations and complex health environments.

A candidate may take up to four years to complete the Master of Nursing programme.

Career/further opportunities

Graduates may be employed in advanced nursing practice positions such as nurse practitioner, as management, research, education, clinical leaders, independent practice, or enter into further study at Doctorate level.

Completed written work can be used as part of the application for registration as a Nurse Practitioner.

Academic qualification equivalents

  • One year or 3 year successful undergraduate study at a recognised tertiary institution.

English language requirements (one of the below):
